We recognize that visiting a new church can be intimidating and that you will want to know how we can help your children learn and grow in their relationship with Jesus. Here you will find a brief description of the different services we provide for children as well as our precautionary safety procedures. On Sundays, feel free to make use of any of these services or to keep your children with you during the service. We also have a live audio feed of the service in the foyer if you feel that your child may be too much of a distraction but would like to keep them with you out there. We want you to be able to do what feels most comfortable for you and your children. Upon your arrival, I would personally love to meet you, answer any questions that you may have about our Children’s Ministries, and point you in the right direction with your kids.

Children’s Sunday School begins at 9:00 AM during most of the school year. Mrs. Anderson and Ms. Chelsea watch over the little ones in the nursery. Those 2 years – Kindergarten are studying “His Praiseworthy Deeds” with Mrs. Appel. The 1st-6th graders are currently studying how to study the Bible with Mrs. Bender and Ms. Solari These classes provide an excellent opportunity for your kids to learn some of the most important, foundational truths of the Bible in a fun and creative way.
Birth – 2 years old –Parents can either drop their kids off before the service (starting at 10:00) or at any point during the service. When signing your child in, you will receive a pager and indicate on the sign-in sheet if your child can have a Cheerio snack and whether our background-checked workers may change your child’s diaper or should page you. We use pagers both to communicate with parents and as a security measure. Please make sure that the same adult returns the pager at time of pickup so we can ensure that we are returning children to their proper parent or guardian.
2-4 year olds – This class is dismissed at the start of the sermon. Parents can either pre-register their children ahead of the service in the “drop off” room and receive a pager then or go out with their children to register them at start of the sermon. We use pagers both to communicate with parents and as a security measure. This class uses the Jesus Storybook Bible Curriculum.
Kindergarten – 3rd grade – This class is also dismissed at the start of the sermon. Parents are not required to sign their children in, but may certainly accompany their children to the room if that would make the transition to a new place easier. Parents must come to pick up their children at the end of the service. This class uses curriculum from Children Desiring God.
Vacation Bible School
This year our V.B.S. will be July 24-28. We would love to have your child come out for this fun and exciting week of learning more about the Bible and singing some super cool songs. Stay tuned for more details!
Safety and Security
At GSCC we take the safety of children very seriously and as such ensure that all of our volunteers have received a background check and have been attending and involved in the church for a period of time before they are entrusted to work with children. We also have security cameras monitoring our doors and a safety team to keep watch during our service.
